This religious scene depicts that while Jesus was carrying the cross, a group of women in Jerusalem wept for him. Jesus turned to them and said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and your children.” These words reflect Jesus’ foresight of the coming calamity and also demonstrate his deep compassion and care for others, even in his suffering.
Trevi factory uses various colors of marble to craft religious scene sculptures, representing the touching moments of the Catholic Stations of the Cross. Our sculptures are intricately carved to vividly bring to life each scene from the Bible, aiming to allow every viewer to feel the sacrificial spirit and loving power of Jesus.
