Sculpture Details and Artistic Beauty

Mercury’s shape: Mercury in the sculpture has slightly raised eyebrows, and his posture is full of power and elegance, showing the wisdom and agility of the messenger god in mythology. He holds the Caedusia staff (snake staff), which symbolizes speed and communication, and the details are exquisite.

Pegasus image: Pegasus (Flying Horse) has spread wings, with clear texture and distinct feather layers. The four hooves are light and soaring into the air, showing the speed and holiness of Pegasus.

The Story of Mercury Riding Pegasus

The two-winged horse, named Pegasus, is one of the most famous fantastical creatures of Greek mythology. It is said to be able to spread its wings and soar in the vast expanse of the stars. When it pounds the ground with its hooves, there are clear springs that symbolize good fortune, hope, and beauty springing forth. Sitting on Pegasus was King Louis XIV of France. He had for a time created a powerful nation, then ruined everything with years of war and a huge load. Louis XIV repented of his blind war before the gods. The gods admired Louis XIV’s courage and boldness and gave him the title of God of War by giving him Pegasus as the amount.
