About St. Don Bosco
Saint John Bosco (1815–1888), commonly known as St. Don Bosco, was an Italian Catholic priest, educator, and founder of the Salesians of Don Bosco. He dedicated his life to helping poor and abandoned youth, especially through education, faith formation, and practical support.
St. Don Bosco believed that young people could be guided through kindness, understanding, and love rather than punishment. Through his work, he established schools, workshops, and youth centers that provided education and opportunities for thousands of children. Because of his extraordinary contribution to youth education, he is honored as the Patron Saint of Youth and remains an important figure in Catholic education worldwide.
